Dear Doc XXX,
I wish to have my glans pierced so I can wear exotic jewels with the family jewels. Will large rings and bands increase my pleasure as well as that of my female partner? Or is the pain and discomfort of recovery just not worth the extra stimulation?
-- Piercer Perhaps
Dear Piercer,
I'm sorry to tell you that I don't have a definitive answer for you. It really all depends on the person who's getting pierced. Some folks don't mind a bit of pain in order to attain that ultimate sexual thrill, while other find the experience much more troubling. I assume that if you are contemplating such extreme measures that you are an experienced body piercer who's looking for new thrills. Newcomers to piercing don't usually start with the penis.
As such, you probably know what you're getting into. Always remember, though, that the genitals are a very sensitive and infection-prone area on anyone's body, regardless of how many other places you're pierced. Make sure to clean the area extremely well and don't take any short cuts. The healing process will be slow, but you need to follow all sanitary procedures throughout the process. Don't leave off cleaning for a day just because 'it feels okay.' From such laziness infections spring.
In the end, it's up to you to decide if it's worth it. The healing process will be a long, messy and uncomfortable time for you, make no mistake. Whether it's worth all the trouble depends on you and your partner. Don't let me talk you out of it though -- plenty of people swear by such piercings, and you might just be one of them! Good luck!
